register online and read the
welcome letter. You can also download the full toolkit, and see a list of all materials, in the Tools tab above.
Here are some suggested activities for Campaign Supporters:
- Encourage family, friends and community members to register
- Get to know more about the campaign so that you can talk about promoting good mental health with your friends, family and colleagues
- Use the contact tracking form to manage your campaign support, and the planning calendar to schedule your efforts
- Spread the campaign's five core messages
- Distribute and hang campaign fliers
- Order and distribute Say it out loud t-shirts, which start at just $8 each. (Click here to be directed to Consolidated Printing's e-commerce site)
- Send letters to the editor of your local newspaper
- Work with your local media to get coverage for the campaign - here are some helpful hints and a media tracking worksheet
- Submit an article to be published in a newsletter at your school, place of worship, club, employer or other local organization
- Send news releases to your local news media (e.g., newspapers, TV stations, etc.)
- Set up a booth at a local fair or event, and distribute T-shirts and answer questions about the campaign
- Speak to community, religious, business, consumer, advocacy, civic or parent groups about Say it out loud (PowerPoint)
- Ask employers or community groups to sponsor Say it out loud materials for distribution, or by underwriting local advertising
- Email us a copy of your contact tracking form to keep us apprised of your work
